Anyone out there?

I've added some new features to the blog this weekend: a "Current Moon Phase" image that is updated thanks to the U.S. Naval Observatory, and a "Current Earth Map" which shows a flat earth map with night areas shown thanks to Fourmilab Switzerland (a website unrelated to Fermilab in Illinois). The second one took some investigation on how to implement, but it was fun to figure it out.

It just occured to me though that no one has probably started to even look at my new blog yet and so no one will not particularly notice the "improvement" anyhow (the tree falling in the forest syndrome).

Still, I expect that I will have readers soon-- the point for me is to get writing about this topic that I love.

So, for those of you that find this message far, far in the future, a disclaimer:

HELLO, we are friendly people of earth that have only recently discovered how to instantly communicate across our planet. We sometimes get so excited about communicating that we do it even if no one is really listening. Therefore, please consider the half-duplex nature of this communication method into account when interpreting this information. In addition, please take into account any improvements in science, technology or society made by the time you read this that could invalidate all conclusions made herein.

Thank you,

Dan of Earth
